Carol Quint: Statement

I work in a process that involves creating, recycling and reconstruction. The content and function of these works reflect both a sense of time past and time present, qualities that are in the nature of a relic. I am fascinated with momento mori and symbols that elicit recognition on an unconscious level. The images become surrogates for an emotional experience that mirrors my point of view.

Currently, I am building sculptures that use chicken bones as the main element, a material that directly refers to my primal vision.
